Oncology

Treats patients with malignant tumors or with the possibility of having cancer.
Comprehensive treatments related to malignant tumors will be offered ranging from prevention, diagnosis, treatment, psychological care to terminal care, in coordination with departments related to cancer treatment (gastroenterology, respiratory, breast surgery, gynecology, urology, radiology and the rehabilitation department).

Highlights of the department

Tumor Center: Consultations for outpatients will be offered in coordination with each department as well as full time physicians at the Oncology Department. We specialize in seeing patients who are difficult to treat when investigated by the standard “organ-based” classification, such as those who present with high tumor marker levels on their first visit to the clinic.

Outpatient clinic for genomic medicine: In genomic medicine, patients for whom standard or existing treatments are ineffective, physicians will select treatments applicable to the specific gene mutations present in their tumor (Precision Medicine).
