Clinical Laboratory

The clinical laboratory performs diagnostic or lab tests for patients in our hospitals and clinics, as well as for our researchers.
Doctors may prescribe certain tests to better understand your medical condition. These tests are performed in the laboratory for urinalysis, hematology (blood) and biochemistry; whereas ECG, ultrasound and other tests take place in the physiologic function test lab.
Management of blood transfusion as well as infectious diseases is performed in coordination with related departments.

Highlights of the department

Tests will be performed by laboratory physicians and laboratory technicians specialized in specific clinical tests. Furthermore, research and development efforts for new test methods will take place to improve accuracy in clinical tests.
