We offer consultation for various diseases related to the ear, nose, throat, head and neck.
Diagnosis and treatment plans will be offered in particular for hearing disorders, runny nose, nasal blockage and cancers in patients ranging from infants to elderly patients.
In an effort to improve patients quality of life (QOL), advanced treatment requiring auditory, speech and swallowing rehabilitation in coordination with speech therapists will be offered.
Highlights of the department
Ear:
- Hearing implants are offered for patients with various types of hearing disorders.
- In addition to the standard middle ear surgery and hearing aid treatment, advanced treatment using hearing implants, including cochlear, middle ear and bone-conductive implants.
- New treatment for hearing disorders combining ear treatment and genetic testing will be offered by certified physicians of clinical genetics.
Nose:
- Consultation and treatment will be offered by physicians certified by the Japanese Society of Allergology as Medical Advisors, especially for the following four subjects.
- ① Comprehensive consultation for allergy in ear, nose and throat
- ② Airway Medicine
- ③ Smell and taste treatment conducted in a dedicated room
- ④ Minimally invasive surgery for nasal and para-nasal sinuses
Head and Neck Surgery:
- Advanced treatment will be offered by head and neck cancer specialists certified by the board of The Japan Society for Head and Neck Surgery.
- We offer treatment for oral, nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, hypopharyngeal, laryngeal, nose and para-nasal sinus, salivary gland and thyroid cancers, as well as other mass lesions.
- We aim not only to cure disease, but also to preserve functions such as swallowing and phonation by minimally invasive approaches.
