Treats diseases related to organs of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts, hepatobiliary tract and the pancreas. We aim to improve the patient’s wellbeing by conducting consultations, research and education in cooperation with Hepato-Bilary-Pancreatic and Gastrointestinal Surgery Department.

Highlights of the department

• Specialists of each organ system are available. The number of surgeons and physicians specializing in the liver, biliary tree and pancreas are especially large in number in view of the dramatic increase in the number of patients suffering from diseases of these organs in recent years.
• Malignant tumors especially in the stomach, colon and liver can be detected at an early stage using endoscopy and ultrasound tests. We strive to detect tumors at an early stage together with the Center for Preventive Medicine.
