For Patients from Overseas

Those wishing to visit Japan to receive medical care

  1. You need to apply for "Visa for Medical Stay" to visit Japan for medical purpose. For more details, please see the following website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
  2. If you wish to have medical care in our hospital, please select and contact a guarantor (such as a medical coordinator or travel agency) registered in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and/or Japan Tourism Agency (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Truism or Japan). You can find the list of guarantors from the link posted on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website as below:

  3. Please provide us with your medical information (including X-ray/CT/MRI images or CD-ROM) through your guarantor. Based on your information, we will consults our physician about acceptance of the consultation.
  4. If you agree to our doctor’s opinion and wish to receive medical care in our hospital, you need “Visa for Medical Stay” to visit Japan. Your guarantor should help you prepare for necessary documents.
  5. Your guarantor will provide us with the application form for your visa. When we complete your visa application form, we will send it back, along with rough estimate for medical expenses and treatment plan.
  6. You will apply for the visa at the Japanese Embassy in your country by submitting application forms that we will provide as well as all other necessary documents. Please ask the embassy in your country about how long it would take to issue the visa.
Second Opinion Consultation with Proxies of International Patients

For international patients living overseas, we provide the second opinion consultation service with a person representing the patient.
Target: Patients who live and receive treatment overseas
Consultation charge: From 66,000 JPY (tax included) for 60 minutes with no time extension.
*Advance payment to our bank account is required.

Please note that above charge cannot be covered by health insurance.

We may ask you to translate medical information into Japanese. Translation services are available at our hospital. For more details, please refer to "Information of Interpretation and Translation Services."

Remote Second Opinion Service

We offer second opinion consultation via on-line for international patients.
Target: Patients who live and receive treatment overseas
Consultation charge: From 110,000 JPY (tax included) for 60 minutes with no time extension.
*Advance payment to our designated bank account is required.

To Medical Tourism Intermediaries Planning to Send a Patient Living Overseas

1. International patients need to apply for "Visa for Medical Stay to visit Japan for medical purpose. For more details, please see the following website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

2. When referring an international patient to our hospital, please make contact with International Affairs Office in our hospital through a guarantor (such as a medical coordinator or travel agency) registered in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and/or Japan Tourism Agency (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Truism or Japan). Please make sure that the patient understands procedures and rules described in the Acceptance Criteria for International Patients (please find the criteria in “Documents required upon making an inquiry” shown below).
