Our Infection Control Actions for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Other Infectious Diseases

In our hospital, we routinely take every precaution to prevent infectious diseases through practicing basic protective measures such as hand hygiene and cough etiquette.

Amid the widespread outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) across Japan, we have been making utmost efforts to prevent infection, whilst also providing medical treatment to outpatients in the fever clinic and inpatients in the designated coronavirus ward. Moreover, we have been monitoring the health condition of all staff at our hospital by instructing them to measure their body temperature before and after work and to report on their health condition.

Under such circumstances, we would like to ask you, our patients, to please wash your hands thoroughly and to wear a face mask before visiting us, in order to help protect yourselves and others against infection. In addition, if you are already experiencing fever, malaise, taste/smell disorders, and/or respiratory symptoms, please call and consult us before visiting the hospital.

Moreover, please refrain from visiting inpatients in the general wards for the time being unless you need to bring some necessities to the patient. In such cases, you can only see him or her for a maximum of 10 minutes. Please make sure to wash your hands and wear a facemask before visiting his or her room. Your understanding and cooperation would be highly appreciated.
